Cherie Grace Quingking MD, FPCEM, FPSCOT, MSc Epidemiology (Clinical Epidemiology), Cand

Dr Quingking is a toxicologist and emergency medicine physician. She is currently a postgraduate student of University of the Philippines-Manila Department of Clinical Epidemiology completing her Masters in Science in Epidemiology (Clinical Epidemiology). Her main areas of research and interest include toxicology, public health, substance abuse, environmental health, and medical informatics.

Nina Castillo-Carandang, MA MSc PhD

Dr. Castillo-Carandang started her career as an educator and sociologist in the agricultural sciences campus (Los Baños) of the University of the Philippines before working in the health sciences campus (Manila) and going into the fields of health social science, clinical epidemiology, and global health. Her current work also looks at different facets of quality of life; and Kagalingan – the Filipinos’ search for well-being, happiness and health; and living well and being well amidst the opportunities and challenges associated with daily living.

Current Academic Appointments:

Health Social Scientist and Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Epidemiology, College of Medicine, University of the Philippines (U.P.) Manila since 1990 (Tenured but part-time position)
Affiliate faculty member of the Institute of Clinical Epidemiology, University of the Philippines Manila’s National Institutes of Health
Member of the Research Ethics Board of the University of the Philippines Manila
Recipient of the 2019-2021 One U.P. Professorial Chair Award in Health Social Science (Sociology, Clinical Epidemiology, Global Health) for Outstanding Research and Public Service in the University of the Philippines Manila.
